Membership Information

A Producing Operator membership in the New Mexico Mining Association is open to actively operating mining companies with producing properties in New Mexico. This membership category is designed for companies directly engaged in the extraction, processing, or production of mineral resources within the state.

Annual dues are based on the value of property valuations as provided by the New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department, ensuring that dues are scaled proportionally to the size and scope of each member's operations.

Exploratory Operator membership is open to mining companies actively engaged in the exploration and development of mineral resources in New Mexico. This category is designed for companies in the early stages of identifying, evaluating, and advancing mineral prospects in the state, prior to full-scale production.

Annual dues: $2,500

An Associate membership in the New Mexico Mining Association is open to vendors, law firms, research and testing laboratories, consulting firms, public relations firms, educational institutions, agencies, associations, and any organization directly or indirectly involved in or concerned with the mining industry in New Mexico. This membership category is designed for businesses and organizations that play a vital supporting role in the strength and success of New Mexico's mineral resources industry.

Annual dues: $1,500

Retiree membership is open to individuals who have dedicated their careers to the mining industry and retired from a mining company or related mineral resource business.

This category is NMMA's way of honoring the experience and lasting contributions that industry veterans have made to mining in New Mexico and beyond. As a Retiree member, you remain a valued part of the NMMA community, staying connected to the industry you helped build, engaging with peers and colleagues, and continuing to lend your voice to the future of mineral resource development in the state.

Annual dues: $100

Student membership is open to individuals currently enrolled in a college or university program in a field related to mining — including geology, mining engineering, metallurgy, environmental science, and other mineral resource disciplines.
